SOCIAL HOUSING
Pamplona, Spain 2023
This social housing project is located on the corner of a city block, designed as a ground floor plus four levels, with a penthouse on the top floor. It offers apartments in three sizes: 100, 70, and 40 square meters, catering to diverse family needs and promoting a mixed community.nThe design prioritizes maximizing usable space for residents, with efficient layouts and open floor plans that enhance living areas. The building's orientation plays a significant role in sustainability, as the main facade faces south, taking advantage of natural sunlight for improved thermal efficiency. To further enhance energy efficiency and comfort, the side facades feature balconies that not only provide private outdoor space for each unit but also serve as passive climate regulators by shading the interiors in summer and allowing warmth in winter. These balconies, lined along both lateral facades, contribute to the building's aesthetic rhythm while offering residents a direct connec tion to the outdoors. Public and semi-public areas, such as common green spaces and a shared rooftop terrace, foster community interaction and relaxation, making the building more than just a place to live but a space for social engagement and well-being. The choice of durable, low-maintenance materials further reinforces the project's commitment to sustainability, ensuring long-lasting quality in both function and appearance.
